The Paul Armagnac race track in Nogaro (Gers, southwestern France) hosted Round 1 of the 2026 Coupes de France Promosport on 21 and 22 March, under the bright early-season sunshine of the Gers region.
A season opener is always a special shoot — and this one carried a particular meaning for me. After fifteen years spent exclusively covering supermoto, this weekend marked my first images as the official photographer of the Coupes de France Promosport. A shift in perspective, in scale, in atmosphere. Road racing tracks impose a different visual geography: long sweeping curves, wide-open straights. And then there is the pit lane and the garages, paddocks with a feel of their own, quite distinct from those of supermoto.
